Tarot and Intuition
Welcome to Season 10 of Every Day Tarot!
This season, I’m exploring the rich, magical intersections between tarot and witchcraft.
What we explore in this episode:
How to approach tarot without memorizing all the meanings
Why intuitive tarot reading is valid (and often more meaningful)
Tips for starting or deepening an intuitive tarot practice
A 3-card Intuitive Insight Spread to tune into what your body, mind, and heart are trying to say
In today’s episode, we’re focusing on tarot and intuition—how to trust your inner knowing, read cards without memorizing meanings, and deepen your connection to self through imagery and emotion.
Pictures from the decks I talked about today referenced from left to right:

How to do a 3-card Intuitive Insight spread:
Ground & Set Intention
Take a few deep breaths. Place a hand over your heart or close your eyes. Set an intention: “Let me hear what my body already knows. Let the cards reflect what’s true beneath the surface.”
Pull Three Cards from one deck or intuitively from several:
Card 1 – The Embodied Awareness (Physical reactions, somatic clues, what does it feel like in your body)
What is your body trying to tell you?
Card 2 – The Emotional Layer (Feelings under the surface, inner weather, unspoken moods)
What emotion or energy wants to be named?
Card 3 – The Inner Knowing (Intuitive clarity, soul-level nudges, gentle direction)
What deeper truth or next step is rising?
Feel Before You Define
Before reaching for a guidebook, pause. Let yourself respond to the card instead of interpreting it.
What’s your first reaction to the imagery?
Do you feel tension or ease?
Is there a color or symbol that stands out?
Integrate
Journal. Voice note. Take your time and sit with the insight. Tarot and intuition grow clearer the more you listen.
3-Card Intuitive Insight Spread using The Desert Illuminations, Therapists Who Tarot, and Anima Mundi decks:
Card 1 - From The Desert Illuminations Tarot, I pulled:
Ten of Jugs (Reversed) – Physical reaction: discomfort, retreat. This card suggests a hesitation around closeness, joy, or collaboration—even when it’s wanted.
Card 2 - From Therapists Who Tarot Deck, I pulled:
Nine of Swords (Upright) – Emotional state: despair, emotional overload, feeling unseen in a crowd. A reminder to name what’s weighing on you and seek spaciousness.
Card 3 - From Anima Mundi Tarot, I pulled:
Eight of Cups (Upright) – Intuitive knowing: it’s time to walk away. Not in failure, but as an act of deep listening. Something has run its course.

Today's Tarot Pull:
From The Desert Illuminations Tarot by Lindsay D. Williams, I pulled The Sun (Reversed). A reminder that even radiance needs rest. The reversed Sun might be telling you it’s time to slow down, recalibrate, or simply… go to bed. This isn’t failure; the light will return in its own time.
Reflective prompts on this card:
What brightness am I afraid to step into?
Where do I need warmth, but can’t quite access it?
What kind of rest would allow me to feel more alive?
