Six of Swords
Welcome to season 8 of this podcast, where I am talking all about the Suit of Swords!
I’m going through each card in the suit, one per episode.
What we explore in this episode:
The Six of Swords as a card of movement, transition, and quiet emotional processing
Symbolism across decks: movement, moving on, transition, journeys, water
Why this card can feel like being “in between” change and the pull of new possibilities
The importance of surrendering to life’s momentum and not carrying old emotional baggage
Six of Swords

In this episode, we explore how the Six of Swords invites us to cross emotional thresholds, even if we’re not quite sure what’s on the other side. It represents the discomfort and necessary movement of growth, the part of the journey where we’re no longer stuck but not yet fully arrived.
It asks: Can you trust the momentum? Can you let go of what weighs you down? Are you ready to follow the pull of something new, even if it’s unfamiliar?
This card reminds us that the shift is already happening. We’re on the road, boat, or metaphorical journey, and what’s ahead holds potential for deeper alignment, healing, and clarity.

Today's Tarot Pull:
From The Citadel: A Fantasy Oracle by Fen Inkwright, I pulled The Guide (upright). The Guide shows up when you’re navigating terrain left to you by others—mistakes, legacies, patterns you didn’t start but still carry. The message? It’s up to you now. Accept the situation, do what you can to correct course, and know that the other side holds clarity and strength.
Reflective prompts on this card:
What are you carrying that isn’t truly yours?
What needs to be corrected—not for others, but for your own peace?
How can you approach this current “in-between” with care, perspective, and intentionality?
