Queen of Pentacles
Welcome to season 7 of this podcast, where I am talking all about the Suit of Pentacles.
I’m going through each card in the suit, one per episode.
What we explore in this episode:
The Queen of Pentacles as a symbol of groundedness, care, and nurturing leadership
Symbolism across different decks: nature, rabbits, spirals, and fertility imagery
How the Queen embodies abundance, responsibility, and stewardship
The balance between care for others and tending to your own needs
Exploring the flip side of generosity: overgiving, overfunctioning, and self-sacrifice

In this episode, we explore the Queen of Pentacles, a card that invites us to honor the balance between nurturing others and caring for ourselves. She reminds us that abundance is not just material wealth, but also the richness of connection, groundedness, and presence in the here and now. The Queen shows us that tending to what we value takes patience and daily devotion, and that we can hold space for growth without rushing the process.
She asks: Are you allowing yourself to receive the nourishment you give so freely to others? How are you cultivating a life that feels rooted, abundant, and sustainable?

In season 5, I went through 13 Common Tarot Spreads, what they are, how many cards, and an example of what it looks like to work through one.
In season 6 I talked all about the Suit of Wands, one per episode.
Today's Tarot Pull:
From The Citadel: A Fantasy Oracle by Fen Inkwright, I pulled The Brawler, a card about confrontation, standing your ground, and navigating conflict. It asks us to pause and reflect before leaping into action, reminding us that not every challenge requires a fight. Sometimes, true strength is in choosing a different response—one rooted in empathy, understanding, and perspective.
The Brawler invites us to ask: What conflicts are worth engaging in? Where might we be clinging to stubbornness or defensiveness? How can we approach situations with clarity and compassion rather than reactivity?
Reflective prompts on this card:
Where in your life are you called to stand firm in your values?
How do you balance assertiveness with empathy?
Are there conflicts or tensions that might benefit from a softer approach?
